Toyota has introduced two exclusive special editions of its GR Yaris hot hatch, paying tribute to the World Rally Championship (WRC) successes of its star drivers.

Limited to just 100 units each and destined exclusively for the Japanese market, the Kalle Rovanperä and Sébastien Ogier editions promise a blend of performance, style and exclusivity.

The GR Yaris Kalle Rovanperä Edition celebrates the accomplishments of the Finnish driver, who clinched back-to-back WRC driver’s titles in 2022-23.

Similarly, the Sébastien Ogier Edition honours the French driver’s consecutive titles in 2020-21. Both drivers played pivotal roles in securing the WRC manufacturers’ championship for Toyota over the past three years.

The Kalle Rovanperä Edition sports a striking red, white and black livery, complemented by a carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) adjustable rear spoiler, “constant-velocity rear differential gears,” and a distinctive Rovanperä Edition badge.

On the other hand, the Sébastien Ogier Edition boasts a Matte Stealth Grey paint job, French flags on the front grille, 18-inch BBS wheels, a CFRP lightweight rally spoiler, and unique Ogier Edition badging.

Inside the cockpit, the Kalle Rovanperä Edition features blue and grey stitching on the seats, shifter and handbrake while the Sébastien Ogier Edition opts for grey stitching. Commemorative badges on the dashboard and steering wheels stitched with the national flag colours of each driver add a personalised touch to the interiors.

Both editions offer unique all-wheel-drive mode selectors tailored to each driver’s preferences.

The Kalle Rovanperä Edition introduces Donut and Kalle modes while the Sébastien Ogier Edition features Morizo and Seb settings. The modes are designed to enhance performance, with features like a rear-biased torque split and specialised drifting control.
