A private eye hospital in the city has announced a breakthrough in LASIK surgery, reducing treatment time to under 10 seconds per eye using an AI-powered predictive mechanism.

The hospital claims this innovative technology not only speeds up the procedure but also enhances its accuracy, offering customized treatment strategies for each patient.

The AI system analyzes thousands of data points, creating personalized treatment plans that allow surgeons to predict surgical outcomes with a high degree of accuracy. According to doctors, the technology has consistently achieved a success rate of between 99% and 100%, making it a highly reliable solution.

Dr. Mahipal S. Sachdev, Chairman and Medical Director of Centre for Sight, highlighted the growing global concern of myopia, with predictions suggesting that by 2050, half of the world’s population could be affected.

“The fastest and safest LASIK laser technology available today allows us to correct vision in just 10 seconds per eye, and the overall procedure takes only about 10 minutes. By combining advanced AI-driven eye tracking with high-speed LASIK laser treatment, we are ensuring that patients receive the fastest, safest, and most effective vision correction available today,” said Sachdev.

Dr. Ritika Sachdev, Director of the hospital, clarified that while LASIK surgery has proven effective for many, certain individuals are not eligible for the procedure. This includes people under 18, those with unstable vision prescriptions, and individuals with weak corneas. She also pointed out that previous technologies operated at a frequency of 700, making the new development a significant improvement. The AI technology further enhances the procedure by generating virtual images of the eye before surgery, which helps surgeons evaluate potential outcomes and assess patient suitability.
