Anand Tiwari‘s ‘Bad Newz‘ starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk has already created a significant buzz among fans. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 19, 2024.
Now, as per the latest report by Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has now requested the makers to edit out a 27-second intimate scene from three different parts of the film.
The report stated that the film underwent scrutiny by the CBFC’s Examining Committee, resulting in the censorship of three intimate scenes between Vicky and Triptii. These scenes, detailed in the cut list, collectively amounted to 27 seconds: one scene lasted 9 seconds, another 10 seconds, and the third 8 seconds.
The report further added that the CBFC required the ‘visual of lip-lock’ to be modified, as noted in the list. Additionally, the CBFC requested minor changes, including replacing a disclaimer at the beginning, inserting anti-alcohol messages, and increasing the font size of the anti-alcohol message.
After these changes were implemented, the makers of ‘Bad Newz’ were granted a U/A certificate by the CBFC. According to the censor certificate, the film’s duration is 142 minutes, or 2 hours and 22 minutes.
Meanwhile, ‘Bad News’, the film humorously explores a rare pregnancy phenomenon called ‘Heteropaternal Superfecundation’. The film’s songs like ‘Tauba Tauba’, ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’, and ‘Jaanam’ have sparked considerable buzz on social media.
Besides this, Vicky also has Laxman Utekar’s ‘Chhaava’, for which he recently wrapped up filming. He is set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
On the other hand, Triptii is set to star alongside Kartik Aaryan in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. She also has ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ with Rajkummar Rao and ‘Dhadak 2’ alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi.
