Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will be looking to compete with OnePlus, Vivo and other brands
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models in the market and the new foldables will be hoping to build on the promise of AI and other upgrades.
Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 foldables which will be looking to build on the legacy of the company and give newer brands. The latest Galaxy foldables look to showcase the latest Galaxy AI features that the company is looking to improve and make safer for the consumers. The new Galaxy Z Fold 6 improves in terms of design, hardware and other essential elements that a buyer seeks when going for a foldable device.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 And Flip 6 Price In India
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 price in India starts from Rs 1,64,999 for the 256GB base variant, while the 512GB and 1TB models cost Rs 1,76,999 and Rs 2,00,999, respectively. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 price in India starts at Rs 1,09,999 for the 256GB model. These new Samsung Galaxy foldables will be available for pre-order from July 10 and sale starts from July 24 across many countries.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Features
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The outer screen is a 6.3-inch HD+ resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. Samsung has upgraded the cover screen to support adaptive 120Hz refresh rate which is a big jump from the standard 60Hz refresh rate of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
The new foldables are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which you get with up to 12GB RAM and a whopping 1TB storage. The Fold 6 has seen its weight trimmed down to 239 grams which brings it closer to what the OnePlus Open and the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro weigh.
Talking about the imaging tech, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a triple rear camera system which includes a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP wide-angle sensor with OIS and a 10MP telephoto lens with OIS as well. It has a 10MP selfie camera and a secondary 4MP under-display shooter as well. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 packs a 4,400mAh battery and it continues to support 25W wired charging speed and fast wireless charging as well.
Samsung is also following Google’s policy for OS support and now promises 7 years of OS and security updates for the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 models. So, if you have bought the previous foldables from the brand, tough luck.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Features
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is the affordable version of the two in the new lineup as well. The flip phone sports a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display when you unfold it, while the cover screen measures at 3.4-inch with a Super AMOLED panel but supports 60Hz refresh rate only. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 weighs 187 grams which is the same as its predecessor.
The Flip 6 will be offered with up to 12GB RAM as well and you get it with 256GB or 512GB storage models. As the image above shows, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 gets a dual camera system which houses the 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP wide-angle sensor with OIS. The Flip 6 has a 4000mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging speed as well.
