The managing director of one of India’s largest medical nutrition manufacturers is now a proud owner of the flagship Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680 luxury sedan.
In a video, shared online by Mercedes’ dealership in Bengaluru, Reddy is seen taking the delivery of his new vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680: Features And Specifications
The Mercedes-Maybach S680 is the German automaker’s flagship sedan and is based on the current generation of S-Class. The car features an elongated wheelbase, offering extra space for passengers on the backseat. At 5.5 meters long, the Maybach S680 is one of the longest cars available in the global market.
The luxurious sedan is powered by a 6.0-litre turbocharged V12 engine tuned to generate up to 610 PS power and 900 Nm of peak torque. Mercedes-Maybach S680 is quipped with a four-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and to a top speed of 250 km/h.
Other features of the Maybach S680 include a doormen function, which allows the passenger to close the car doors with a simple hand gesture. The driver has also got buttons to control the rear doors.
The luxurious features of the Maybach S680 can be controlled by the passenger in the rear seat. This includes reclining the seats by 19 to 44 degrees and a retractable leg rest, Entertainment screens, a multi-contour seat massager, heated armrests, seat ventilation and a calf massager.
As for the safety features, the Mercedes-Benz S-class comes with 13 airbags as standard. It has Level 2 autonomous tech with evasive steering assist and active brake assist with cross-traffic function.
The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680 is the top petrol variant in the S-Class lineup and is priced at Rs 3.43 Crore (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class competes with full-size luxury cars like the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Bentley Flying Spur.
VS Reddy also owns a Bentley Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition, which costs around a staggering Rs 14 crore (ex-showroom), making in the most expensive car in India.
This flagship car is powered by a 6.75-litre V8 engine, which generates 506 bhp and 1,020 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 296 km/h.
