Reliance Retail’s beauty business Tira has launched a new private label skincare brand named ‘Akind’ with celebrity influencer Mira Kapoor. Designed to offer personalised skincare solutions, the label made its retail debut at Tira’s flagship store in Jio World Drive, Mumbai.
“We are excited to introduce Akind, Tira’s first skincare brand in the own brands portfolio,” said Reliance Retail Ventures Limited’s executive director Isha Ambani in a press release on June 12. “This launch represents a significant milestone in Tira’s journey. As we continue to expand and evolve, we remain committed to innovation and excellence, ensuring that every offering enhances our customer’s beauty experience.”
Akind offers a targeted approach to skincare a focus on improving skin barrier health. Products in the brand’s maiden collection include cleansers, serums, moisturisers, and toners among others. Akind is Tira’s first private label brand dedicated to skincare and will retail across Tira’s network of brick-and-mortar stores as well as its online platform.
“Not too long ago, I realised that my skincare journey truly began when I started listening to my skin,” said Akind’s co-founder Mira Kapoor. “The Akind range was meticulously formulated with care, trial and error, and extensive research into high-efficacy ingredients that act as targeted solutions for specific problems, and what better way to bring this vision to life than powered by Tira, the ultimate destination for curatedbeauty brands. With Akind, I want to share the joy of skin type agnostic, barrier-focused, high performance, and price-conscious skincare that helps one meet the best version of their skin, just like I did.”
