The new AI editing feature is coming to older Pixel phones soon.
Google introduced the AI editing features with the Pixel 8 series last year but now older Pixel users can also try them out.
Google had earlier launched their Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered editing tool the Magic Editor which allows users to make complex edits without having professional-level editing skills. The feature was launched exclusively for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro users last year. But the tech giant is now rolling out the feature for its previous Pixel models including the Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 as well.
Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 owners will soon get to use the Magic Editor feature on their devices, as the company has just started rolling out the feature. It may take some time to reach all the users, 91 Mobiles quoted Tech Radar. All the older Pixel users are advised to keep their Google Photos app updated to the latest version.
Last month, Google announced that it will be making the Magic Editor tool available to all Google Photos users on Android as well as iOS but with a limitation. The non-Pixel users and the iOS users will be restricted to just 10 saves per month. For more saves, users need to switch to Pixel smartphones or need to buy a Google One Premium subscription for 10 USD.
As per 9To5Google, the Magic Editor lets the users move, resize or erase parts of the photo and also apply “contextual presets” like Sky, Golden Hour as well as Stylized.
How to use Magic Editor in Google Photos
– Head to the Google Photos app.
– Select the image you want to make edits on.
– At the bottom of the screen, look for the tab ‘Edit’ and click on it.
– Select ‘Tools’ and click on the Magic Eraser Tool.
– With the help of AI, the Magic Editor will automatically detect the unwanted objects in the image, if it doesn’t users can select the portion manually that they want to remove from the photo.
– Click on Erase All.
– Then click on Done and Save
The best thing about Google’s AI feature is that the Magic Editor feature will be available on devices that come with least 3GB RAM and run on Android 8.0 or Ios 15 or later versions. It will also be available for the Pixel Tab users.
