OnePlus wants to bring new apps to the smartwatch with this update

OnePlus Watch 2 has been developed using a new tech and the update could offer more features to the users.

OnePlus is reportedly rolling out a slew of features to OnePlus Watch 2 users via the A.94 update that introduces two new applications to the smartwatch: Barometer and Relax. The Barometer app shows atmospheric pressure to users, while the Relax app is said to help with guided breathing, reported Gadgets360.

The Android Authority report further adds that the A.94 update for the OnePlus Watch 2 is claimed to offer a smoother user experience by optimising data display during workouts along with added support for accessing Music Controller by swiping left during a workout and support for switching off the ‘Tap to wake’ feature.

Moreover, the update is also said to introduce several new features in the phone app in Power Saver mode, including favouriting contacts, displaying contacts and displaying call logs. With this new update, OnePlus Watch 2 users will enjoy a better experience removing a watch face. Other than fixing the known issues, the update reportedly optimises a few workout and health algorithms on the OnePlus Watch 2.

OnePlus, known for manufacturing premium devices and software, rolled out the OnePlus Watch 2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in February this year. The smartwatch, which comes with a dual-engine architecture to run two operating systems, was first introduced in shades of Radiant Steel and Black Steel.

OnePlus Watch 2 is available in India for Rs 24,999 and is running on WearOS 4 platform and RTOS. Users get the Snapdragon W5 and BES2700 chipsets under the hood, 32GB of storage and 2GB RAM. The watch comes with a round 1.43-inch AMOLED screen and the chassis is built from stainless steel. It has an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance, as well as a military-grade MIL-STD-810H build. It is also well-suited to the OHealth app, which supports Google Health Connect services.

The watch is claimed to offer a battery life of up to 48 hours with heavy usage, up to 100 hours of battery life in Smart Mode, and approximately 12 days of battery life in Power Saver mode. It has a 500mAh battery that supports full charge in one hour using the exclusive charging pin.
