The new iPhone 16 models will have more options and some of them with big batteries
iPhone 16 series will have four models once again but one the variants could see a drop in the battery capacity. But what is the reason for this?
The iPhone 16 series launch is still a long way out but that does not stop people from building up to the big launch. The iPhone 16 series is rumoured to get a new Ultra variant but most leaks suggest Apple is likely to stick with its existing family combo, which includes the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and the 16 Pro Max.
We have gotten some idea about the camera layout and even the new action button for using the camera expected in select models. Now, a new report talks about the possible battery size that the iPhone 16 series models will carry.
iPhone 16 Series Battery Details: What We Know
The new report claims the iPhone 16 will feature a 3,561mAh battery which is bigger than what you got on the iPhone 15. Even the iPhone 16 Pro (3,355mAh) and 16 Pro Max (4,676mAh) will have bigger batteries compared to the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, however, the same cannot be said about the iPhone 16 Plus model.
The report suggests Apple could be banking on the use of the A17 Pro chipset which could improve the power efficiency of the iPhone 16 models, which is why it didn’t feel the need to increase the battery capacity on the iPhone 16 Plus variant. It is still early days to talk about the final specs of the iPhone 16 models, so we’d rather wait for more credible reports to come which could confirm these battery details one way or the other.
The iPhone 16 series in general could have some new design tweaks which could include a different camera module at the back. The vanilla and Plus models will most likely come powered by the A17 Pro chipset, while the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max use the latest A18 chipset with advanced AI skills in tow.
The iPhone 16 Pro series could see new variants which reports say will be called Desert Yellow and Titanium Grey.
It has been mentioned that the Desert Yellow could have shades of gold tinge similar to the iPhone 14 Pro model with a deeper range of colour. Similarly, the Grey variant could be similar to the iPhone 6 model that came out many years back.
