The top Swedish auto giant Volvo has decided to put a full stop to manufacturing the diesel models. Before stopping production, the company rolled out the final car Blue XC90 from its facility in Belgium’s Ghent.

In case you are wondering to purchase it, let us burst the bubble for you. The final diesel model is not up for sale as it is heading directly towards the company’s museum ‘World of Volvo’, located in the homeland.

It has been informed that the tech-loaded Blue XC90 uses the trusted 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged 4-cylinder mild-hybrid engine, which churns out a maximum power of 235 bhp and a peak torque of 480 Nm.

The model flaunts the Volvo’s typical style statement from every corner, featuring the bold grill at the front with a chrome finish logo on it. The vehicle has been treated with an LED headlight setup, LED taillamps, and aggressive yet stylish alloy wheels with a decent amount of cladding on the side.

Volvo’s New EV EX9

Meanwhile, as the company is taking big steps in the EV segment, it is gearing up to launch the EX9. It will be the battery-powered version of the flagship SUV XC90, which is expected to attract more customers to the segment.

It will feature a dual electric motor, which generates a maximum power of 402 bhp and peak torque of 770 Nm. When it comes to the price, the model will start at 77,990 US Dollars.

Deliveries Start When?

If everything goes as per plan, the brand is likely to kickstart production for the same later this year, while the deliveries might begin somewhere in Q3. However, the official date for both the activity needs to be announced by the brand.
