Neelam, who has been part of the movies since the mid 1980s, has now been up exploring new things with her career – be it being part of reality-drama show the The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives or working with her actor-husband Sameer Soni for the first time in their 11 years of marriage for Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Made In Heaven. And there are a few more things up her sleeve.
In fact, the seasoned actress was all set to be part of Ananya Panday’s OTT debut show called ‘ Call Me Bae’ but things didn’t work out for the actress. A source close to ETimes has exclusively told us that the makers of the show were very keen on Neelam to be part of the show, apparently she was supposed to play Ananya’s mother in the show, but the combination dates didn’t work for the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress. Had it worked out, Neelam would have been the first actress to have worked with all three members of the Pandey family as she had many films with Chunky back in the 80s and 90s, like Ghar Ka Chiraag, Mitti Aur Sona, Zakham and many more. On the other hand, she and Bhavana are part of Karan Johar’s The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, which is now heading for its third season.
Neelam’s next project is going to be as a voiceover artist, as she has recently come on board to play Jean Grey’s character for Marvel’s Wastelanders: Wolverine, a Hindi Audible Original podcast, which has names like Sharad Kelkar, Mithila Palkar, Chandan Roy Sanyal and stand up comic Abish Mathew attached to it.
