With its futuristic design, top-notch performance, and groundbreaking features, the Ather 450 Apex is poised to lead the electric scooter revolution.
The Ather 450 Apex, priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and launched in January, is all set to hit the roads in March 2024.
Co-founder of Ather Energy, Swapnil Jain, shared an exciting image of the Ather 450 Apex as it gears up to roll off the production line in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, as reported by Autocar.
Powered by the same 3.7kWh battery pack as the 450X, the Ather 450 Apex boasts a motor capable of delivering 7kW of peak power. With a claimed IDC range of 157km in SmartEco mode and the ability to reach speeds of up to 100kph in Warp+ mode, this special edition scooter accelerates from 0-40kph in just 2.9 seconds, making it the only e-scooter by the company to achieve such high speeds.
Despite its speed prowess, the Ather 450 Apex maintains key features of the 450 platform such as seat height, wheelbase, tyre sizes, and ground clearance. A notable addition is the enclosed belt drive system, soon to be standard in all Ather models, enhancing performance and efficiency. The scooter flaunts an eye-catching Indium blue color for its transparent body panels, revealing a vibrant orange chassis underneath.
One of the most talked-about features of the Ather 450 Apex is its updated regenerative braking system, allowing riders to bring the scooter to a halt by twisting the accelerator backward by 15 degrees, eliminating the need to use the brakes. This innovative feature is expected to be incorporated into future Ather models as well, promising enhanced safety and convenience for riders.
