Red Bull is gearing up to release one of the most advanced hypercars in the market by 2025. It will be known as RB17. The news has been confirmed by the Chief technology officer of the Red Bull Racing Adrian Newey.

Red Bull HyperCar RB17 Maximum Power

It has been revealed by the Newey that the upcoming RB17 will be powered by a robust cutting-edge naturally aspirated V10 engine. This unit will force the car to achieve a max power of 1000 BHP at 15,000 rpm. The two-seater supercar will be paired with a small electric motor, providing it with decent power during the initial and in reverse gears.

Limited Units

The hypercar will be produced in a restricted manner. Only 50 units will be built, out of which, one will be taken by the man himself Adrian Newey. Reports say the rare customers who will own the RB17, will get the special treatment from the brand, allowing them to epirencde simulator before taking delivery.

Overall Weight and Capabilities

Reports confirmed that the hypercar will feature a max curb weight of 900 kg. With the help of aerodynamic downforce, it will achieve peak downforce figures at 150 km/h with an aerodynamic downforce cap of 1.7 tons. To give it insane stability on the track or terrain, the premium tire maker Michelin has been given the task of designing special tires for the RB17.

Similar Performance as F1 Cars

It was also claimed by the Newey that RB17 would be one of the most aerodynamically efficient cars that was ever produced. The upcoming RB17 will share the blown duster from the F1 racing car, featuring multiple functional active suspensions to make it more comfortable as compared to those cars.

In terms of speed, Newey says the RB17 would achieve a similar lap time as any other F1 car. However, it will not built as F1 cars.
