Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched the GMR School of Aviation during the inaugural ceremony of Wings India 2024. The institute, set up by GMR Aero Technic in collaboration with Airbus, offers a fully integrated 4-year AME program and a B1.1 and B2 aircraft maintenance engineering licensing program. The school has been certified by DGCA and EASA. GMR Aero Technic president Ashok Gopinath said the first-of-its-kind school in this region will be a global benchmark.
