Global education software and services company Tribal Group has signed a five year contract with Auckland’s Carey Baptist College for the deployment and ongoing management of its student management system, ebs:VET.
Designed for rapid deployment in the private training and English language learning college sectors, the ebs:VET solution will replace the Auckland-based theological training college’s legacy student management platform, Artena.
Tribal says ebs:VET features a pre-configured version of its SMS ebs student information system, and the integrated functionality will enable the college to build “both a feature rich student and staff portal as well as support admissions through Tribal’s ontrack portals, digitising the entire admissions process creating a better student experience” – and ebs will also modernise the interface between Moodle, the college’s learning management system.
Chris Berry, Executive Director, Carey Baptist College, said “Carey Baptist College is committed to the notion of ako – facilitating and building a community that supports, nurtures and facilitates transformational learning opportunities.”
“Ensuring our student information system is robust and effective is of crucial importance. We’re delighted to be partnering with Tribal Group and look forward to continue to not only delivering high quality learning but utilising a system that will transform the management of our student information and communications to students.”
Tribal says Carey Baptist College is its eighth customer in the New Zealand private training establishment sector and the seventh organisation in the last 18 months to implement its ebs solution.
Steve Exley, Tribal’s General Manager New Zealand, said “We’re really pleased that that Carey Baptist College decided to implement our solution for specialist vocational and tertiary providers.”
“It is a powerful tool that will transform their management of student data and provide real efficiencies for their organisation. The onboarding of Carey as an ebs customer is a significant milestone for Tribal in New Zealand and we’re looking forward to collaboration on this implementation in the years ahead.”
