Mumbai: Among the key bulk deals on Friday, private equity giant KKR India and non-banking finance company (NBFC) L&T Finance cut their stake in Gautam Thapar-promoted CG Power and Industrial Solutions.

In September 2019, Private equity giant KKR India had picked up nearly 10 per cent stake in CG Power and Industrial Solutions for over Rs 89 crore by enforcing pledge on credit facilities extended to a promoter firm of the crisis-hit company

Also, a clutch of investors including Porinju Veliyath and Vikas Khemani lapped up shares of PTC Industries, while Pragati India Fund cut its stake in the engineering components maker.

Of the frontline indices, benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty reversed early gains and dropped for the third straight session on Friday, with sentiment soured by a worse-than-expected Chinese macro data and falling European markets.

BSE’s 30-share Sensex dropped 1.13 per cent to close at 37,877 points, while NSE’s 50-share Nifty declined 1.08 per cent to close at 11,178 points.

Here’s who bought and sold what in some of the key bulk and block deals of the day:
>> KKR India Financial Services sold 70,50,000 shares of CG Power and Industrial Solutions on the BSE and another 2,90,76,000 shares on the NSE. KKR India Debt Opportunities Fund II, L&T Finance, Vistra ITCL India, Chetan Rasiklal Shah and Alpha Leon Enterprises also sold shares in the company.

At the end of June, KKR India Financial Services, KKR India Debt Opportunities Fund II and L&T Finance held 8.10 per cent, 1.91 per cent and 10 per cent stake in the company.

>> Kochi-based investor Porinju Veliyath, Vikas Khemani, founder of Carnelian Asset Management, Israr Ali Khan, Mona Russel Mehta and Pankaj Prasoon and HUF lapped up shares of PTC Industries, while Pragati India Fund offloaded a total of 7,85,913 shares in the company. As at June end, Pragati India Fund held 20 per cent stake in the company.

>> EARC Trust SC 30 sold 71,000 shares in Electrotherm (India) at Rs 119.58 per share.

>> Plutus Wealth Management bought 14,85,000 shares of Heidelberg Cement at Rs 191.72 per share.

>> Sterlite Power Grid Ventures offloaded shares of India Grid Trust, while Danske Invest India Fund, Larsen & Toubro, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, Pragya Equities, Profitex Shares & Securities and Societe Generale lapped up the same.

>> Adesh Ventures sold 7,87,863 shares of Man Industries at Rs 60.36 per share.

>> Trishashna Holdings & Investments bought 3,94,835 Satin Creditcare RE at Rs 23.50 each, while UTI Mutual Fund- Banking Sector Fund sold 1,08,533 of the same at Rs 26.06 each.
