Google recently launched its highly anticipated mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 9a, in India. After some delays caused by issues, the Pixel 9a is now available for sale in the country. The device is powered by a Tensor chipset, similar to its premium counterparts. It features a dual-camera setup and a fresh design that ditches the signature Pixel camera bar. You also get a compact size with the Pixel 9a that does its best to compliment the premium Pixel 9 series in the market.

The Pixel 9a is priced at Rs 49,999 in India, and you get only the 8GB + 256GB variant in the country. It comes in three colour options: Iris, Obsidian, and Porcelain. Customers can purchase the smartphone online through Flipkart or from offline retail partners like Reliance Digital, Tata Croma, Vijay Sales, and others.
Pixel 9a is available with cashback of Rs 3,000 on select bank cards as part of the launch offers. Buyers will also get three-months of Google One subscription, along with three-months of YouTube Premium, and even six-months of Fitbit Premium with the Pixel 9a.

The Google Pixel 9a is powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The Pixel 9a runs on Android 15 and you are promised 7 OS upgrades like the Pixel 9 series and the Pixel 8a. The phone comes with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Coming to the main highlight, the Pixel 9a gets a 48MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, the device features a 13MP front camera. Gemini AI is at the forefront of all the AI features baked into the device, which excludes Pixel Screenshots and Call screening. However, you do get Theft Detection, Car Crash Detection, and live location sharing via Find My Device.
Google has packed the Pixel 9a with its biggest 5,100mAh battery among all the Pixel models. It supports 23W wired charging and Qi wireless charging.
Moreover, the phone supports 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6e, and NFC. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, face unlock, dual speakers, and two microphones, with USB Type-C 3.2 for charging and data transfer.
