In addition to these corridors, the PMC has also approved a new metro station on the underground route from Swargate to Katraj.

Both corridors will be elevated, and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) will oversee their construction.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has given the green light for two new metro corridors: one between Hadapsar and Loni Kalbhor and another between Hadapsar and Saswad Road.

Both will be elevated, and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) will handle the construction.

As per Hindustan Times, Municipal Commissioner Rajendra Bhosale explained, “We have approved two metro corridors between Hadapsar and Loni Kalbhor, and Hadapsar and Saswad Road. Both corridors will be elevated. The PMC won’t face any financial costs but will provide the necessary land.”

In addition to these two corridors, the PMC has also approved a new metro station on the Swargate to Katraj underground line. Currently, there are four metro stations on this route, but citizens and local representatives requested an additional station between Padmavati and Katraj. Bhosale confirmed, “We have approved the station at Balajinagar. The Maha-Metro will construct this station.”

Regarding the costs, the commissioner clarified that Maha-Metro would fund the new station. While land is not yet available at Balajinagar, there is a strong possibility that it will be built near Bharati Vidyapeeth police station, just before Bharati Vidyapeeth.
