Grok AI is already available for iOS and web users and now Android devices can be pre-registered for the app this week.
Grok AI is rapidly spreading its wings and soon it will be available on Android phones for millions of users. The Grok AI app is listed on the Play Store and you can pre-register for the app before it goes live and get it automatically installed when it is available.
The AI chatbot from X has been around for a while, most of which was made available to those getting the X Premium+ plan. However, Musk decided to make it accessible to more users by removing the need to pay for X to use the AI tool.
We have already seen Grok AI run on the web, giving people another alternative to ChatGPT and Google for its AI applications. The Elon Musk-owned platform and AI company is hoping to appeal to more users who can try out the Grok AI chatbot and its features for free.
Like we have said before, users don’t need an X account to use Grok on the web or the iOS app. When users click the “Sign In” button, they have the option to log in using Google or email or link their X account.
Grok AI is doing all the tasks that you would expect from the new stable of AI chatbots. You can ask Grok to create images using text prompts, something that Dall-E 3 offers. You can ask questions and even get articles summarised, that you can ask Gemini or even Siri to do these days. The Android version will also support image analysis which can be useful when you want a complex problem solved without typing the details.
The Grok 2 model is still new in terms of its adoption, and X is clearly looking to push its reach and training methods faster. Having a standalone app is part of that process and giving it accurate reading of its users and app spent time.
Having said that, with the free plan, users who log in without an X Premium account will be subject to similar restrictions, such as 10 image generations every two hours, three image analysis credits daily, and four image generations daily.
