The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a penalty of Rs 30 lakh on Air India for allowing a first officer to operate a flight without meeting mandatory recency requirements. The sanctions were due to failures in the airline’s rostering system, and three senior officials are to face disciplinary actions.
