Maruti Suzuki Price Hike.

Maruti Suzuki India is all set to increase car prices by up to Rs 32,500 from February 1, as per PTI.

This price hike is due to rising input costs and operational expenses, Maruti Suzuki explained. The company added that, despite efforts to optimise costs, it was necessary to pass on some of the increased expenses to customers.

“We remain committed to managing costs and minimising the impact on our customers, but unfortunately, we must pass on some of the increased costs to the market,” Maruti Suzuki, the Indian arm of Japanese automaker Suzuki, stated in a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, as reported by PTI.

What will the new prices be?

  • The compact Celerio will see a price rise of up to Rs 32,500.
  • Premium model Invicto will cost up to Rs 30,000 more, as per Hindustan Times.
  • SUVs like the Grand Vitara and Brezza will be priced higher by Rs 25,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
  • Entry-level Alto K10 will go up by Rs 19,500.
  • Popular WagonR’s price will increase by up to Rs 15,000.

Other models also include price hikes:

  • Dzire (up to Rs 10,000)
  • Baleno (up to Rs 9,000)
  • Fronx (up to Rs 5,500)
  • S-Presso and Swift (up to Rs 5,000 each)

Currently, Maruti Suzuki India’s prices range from Rs 3.99 lakh for the Alto K-10 to Rs 28.92 lakh for the Invicto. This hike follows a 4 percent price increase that took effect earlier this month.
