The homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is likely to convert its hot-selling product Splendor into a fully electric. Yes, you read it right!
It has been reported that the e-Splendor is expected to hit the market somewhere in 2027, along with some new battery-powered scooters and motorcycles in the same segment. However, a concreted confirmation about the same is yet to be shard by the brand.
Here’s What Report Says
Some reports suggested that the company has already codenamed the model as AEDA, and is under development at the company’s facility in Jaipur. If rumours are to be believed once the electric Splendor goes into production, the manufacturer is likely to produce somewhere around around 2 lakh units per year.
Electric Dirt Bike
Amid this, it has been revealed that Hero MotoCorp is also in the process of adding an electric dirt bike to its fleet. The launch is expected to take place at the start or mid of the next. The brand is expected to produce over 10,000 units per year, and is expected to export the vehicle in the international market as well.
Current Fleet
Meanwhile, Hero offers a wide range of electric scooters in the Indian market. The list includes Optima CX which costs Rs 83, 315 while Atria and Photon can be purchased at Rs 77,690 and Rs 1.10 lakh (all ex-showroom).
