India Born Honda Elevate Launched in South Africa, Check What’s New

After making a successful entry into the Indian market, Honda has finally launched one of the feature-loaded Elevate in South Africa. It has been reported that the SUV is manufactured localy and has been exported from India to the international market.

The model is introduced at a starting price of R 3,69,900 (roughly around Rs 15.90 lakh). It is available in two variants -Elegance and Comfort.

What’s New in International Model

In terms of the design, the company has not experimented with anything from outside, and kept it as similar to the Indian spec. It comes with the same set of LED headlight setup, LED DRLs, L-shaped tail lamps, massive bonnet, which is complimented by a piano black grilles with a chrome finish brand’s logo on it.

Talking about the the interior, the cabin is treated by a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supported by all wireless car connect technology including Android, Auto and Apple carPlay on board. The SUV gets the same multi-functional steering wheel, automatic climate control, and whatnot.

Top Features

To make the SUV safer in the segment, the international model is also equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), bringing some robust features. The list includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam assist, automatic emergency braking, and the list goes on.

Powertrain

Under the hood, it is powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated. i-VTEC petrol engine. This unit churns out a max output of 119 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque. It comes with either a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission option.
