OpenAI is expanding its base across different features

OpenAI has launched text-to-video tools, text-to-image generator and now it wants to tap the big search arena as per reports.

OpenAI is heavily involved in the evolution of AI with all sorts of tools available to the public, including the popular ChatGPT. OpenAI has a strong partnership with Microsoft which could help the company with the platform to build its own search tool. The report by The Information suggests OpenAI will rival Google in the search arena and its advanced AI expertise is likely to give it an edge over the existing duo.

Search is extremely useful for people and with ChatGPT under its wing, OpenAI could expand its reach and subscriber base to more regions. It is possible that OpenAI could play the big game and actually offer the AI search as a standalone option along with giving it as a part of the ChatGPT Plus subscription.

The only interesting aspect of OpenAI going for search is that it will use Microsoft’s Bing as the base platform to build its search tool, the report adds. Both the companies have a tight equation and they have partnered to great effect so far.

OpenAI has got $10 billion funding without giving away a major say in its operations thanks to the non-voting seat on the board. Bing has used the capability of ChatGPT which is also integrated into the Edge browser for users. AI is basically feeding on existing data to train itself on the basic information available on the internet.

OpenAI has not officially shared any plans for its search tool but it is likely that we might see some development in this regard as the company is racing itself to build new AI use cases. The company unveiled Sora which converts text into life-life videos and some of the examples teased on the social media which has got everyone excited as well shocked at the pace with which AI is growing.
