Apple iPhones are popular but having these many in the top 5 is definitely not surprising.
Apple iPhones are selling like hot cakes and it is not just the new models but even the old ones are doing quite well for the company.
iPhones are popular across the globe but did you know that all the top five models sold in the market last year were iPhones? A new market report has come out this month which talks about Apple’s dominance in the premium segment. The report also tells us that the iPhone 14 Pro Max was the most-selling model in 2023 which is not surprising going by the numbers Apple has reported over the past few quarters.
The Pro Max model sold 34 million units during the period which is an impressive number for a device costing well over a lakh. It is interesting that Apple managed to sell the premium iPhone without major design changes and offering it with a lightning connector.
The second iPhone on the list is the latest 15 Pro Max which only launched in September last year but has already clocked 33 million units which is massive for the new model and Apple raking in the moolah.
The next three top models were the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro that recorded 29 million units each, which is again quite big for the company considering these are also the new models.
And if you thought Apple was probably facing a hard time selling the older iPhones, the company scored 23 million in sales of the iPhone 13 which is probably helped by the demand for iPhones in markets like India and other emerging countries.
But what about the Android flagships from Google and Samsung? Where is the Galaxy S23 series on the charts? Surprisingly, the first non-Apple device on the list is the Samsung Galaxy A14 4G model in sixth place with 21 million units sold in the last 12 months.
Samsung will be worried about its performance last year, even though the Galaxy S23 Ultra got a decent response. Having said, the AI-powered Galaxy S24 lineup might stand a better chance this year, which will become clearer later this year.
