It has been reported that the updated or next-gen Desire is likely to hit the market first half of 2024. However, the company is yet to comment on the related details.
Expected Updates
According to the spy shots, the upcoming Dzire will likely share some of the design elements from the fourth-generation Swift. It will come with a few noticeable cosmetic changes, making it look more premium and appealing than ever.
Despite being covered with heavy camouflage, the upcoming Desire was flaunting a few upgrades from outside. It is expected to get an improved grille and a revised headlight setup, paired with fog lamps at the bottom.
Front and Rear Updates
Going by the leaked images, it seems like the vehicle might come with an improved bonnet, making the vehicle more muscular this time. At the back, it could flaunt a bold yet sleek tail lamp with an updated tailgate design.
Engine and Power
Under the hood, the upcoming Desire will continue to share the same engine option as Swift. It will be powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2L 3-cylinder Z-series petrol unit, which will generate a max power of 82 bhp and 108 Nm of peak torque.
As far as the mileage is concerned, this powertrain setup is expected to provide an impressive fuel efficiency of 24.5 km/l.
