Poco recently launched its latest mid-range smartphone — Poco X6 in India. The smartphone comes with a stylish design and houses a 64MP main camera. The Qualcomm Snapdragon powered smartphone is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. We used the Poco X6 for sometime and here’s a quick review of the same.
Design
Poco X6 sports a sleek design and comes in two colour options — Mirror Black and Snowstorm White.The smartphone is surrounded by a silver ribbon on all sides which adds to its looks and also makes it comfortable to hold. The rear of the smartphone houses a triple rear camera which is neatly placed inside a rectangular module. The front is dominated by an OLED display. The right of the smartphone houses the power button and volume rockers and the bottom part has the USB Type C charging sport. In all the smartphone will impress you with its trendy design.
Display
The Poco X6 features a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1220×2712 pixel resolution. The display offers up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1800 nits of peak brightness. The display on the mid-range smartphone is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. The display on the smartphone comes with Dolby Vision support which enhances the viewing experience. The display offers wide viewing angles which improves the gaming and binge watching experience. The high brightness levels of the display also offer good visibility under direct sunlight. The smartphone offers a pretty good visual experience.
Performance
Poco X6 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The smartphone comes in two variants — 8GB+128GB and 12GB+512GB. The smartphone manages to offer a decent and lag free performance during our initial testing. The smartphone handled all types of games very well and we did not face any heating issues. The smartphone also performed smoothly during multi-tasking and there was no visible lag.
Software
The Poco X6 operates on the Android 13 operating system, complemented by the company’s own MIUI 14 interface. Poco, the smartphone manufacturer, has officially announced that the Poco X6 will receive an upcoming update featuring Xiaomi’s HyperOS. MIUI 14 introduces various enhancements, including optimised RAM and internal storage utilisation, a revamped home screen, aesthetically pleasing widgets, imaginative wallpapers, and an array of improvements.
Camera
Poco X6 is home to a triple rear camera which consists of 64MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front of the smartphone features a 16MP front camera. The camera excels in producing impressive low-light images. Additionally, the images taken in daylight exhibit excellent results, showcasing precise and vivid colour reproduction with sharp details. The selfie camera offers a solid performance, enabling you to capture high-quality self-portraits perfect for sharing on your favourite social media channels.
Battery
Poco X6 houses a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The company claims that the smartphone can charge up to 100% in just 45 minutes. We spent a little time with the smartphone so for the complete battery analysis you will have to wait for our complete review
What we think
As mentioned above the Poco X6 comes in three variants and its price starts at Rs 21,999. The smartphone sports a sleek design and packs a powerful mid-range processor. The smartphone comes with fast charging support which works as an added advantage.
