In a move to offer a secure and safe travel expirence amid escalating tension in the Middle East, the leading carrier Air India has issued a travel advisory for the passengers.
According to the details shared by the company over X, some of its flights are operating on alternative extended routes due to the closure of Iranian airspace. It has been confirmed that multiple flights have been rerouted, taking longer alternative routes to reach the desired destinations.
Here’s What Air India Says
Air India also shared the news on X with a long caption that reads, “Due to the emerging situation in Iran and parts of the Middle East, the subsequent closure of airspace, and in view of the safety of our passengers, some of our flights are operating on alternative extended routes. We are doing our best to minimize any inconvenience caused to our passengers due to this unforeseen airspace closure.”
