Ever since the Hyundai Verna was released in the Indian market, it has received an overwhelming response from customers. Amid the ongoing competition in the mid-size segment, the model is expected to undergo a major facelift. It has been reported that the updated version is likely to hit the market somewhere in 2026.
Ahead of the official release, a test mule, wearing heavy camouflage running on the road. It has revealed some of the significant details, hinting at the overall style statement and key features.
Expected Updates
According to the spy shots, the fourth-gen model might come with an updated grille at the front, an improved headlight setup, and might carry the same side profile as the ongoing model.
The customers can expect the same aggressive style statement and identical 16-inch alloy wheels. The slightly tweaked rear bumper might add an enhanced charm, making it look better as compared to current version.
Interior Changes
Talking about the interior highlights, the cabin might not see major changes. However, an improvement in terms of features and safety might be included to attract more customers. It will carry the same style multi-function steering wheel, featuring automatic climate control, wireless charging, front armrest, ambient lighting, and the list goes on.
Engine and Gearbox
Under the hood, again, no change is expected. It means the upcoming model will use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The former will generate a maximum output of 115 hp, the latter will churn out 160 hp. These units will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
Once launched, it will compete against Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, and Skoda Slavia.
