Samsung has made a thin and lightweight phone in the form of Galaxy S25 Edge which had everyone concerned for the dreaded bend test and other grueling routine. People put these phones through bend, scratch and other tests that tell us how a device can fare if you put it through the grill.
The companies don’t like it but that does not stop people from trying these stunts and JerryRigEverything is known for these tests. So when the Galaxy S25 Edge was put through the renowned bend and scratch test, people were in for a surprise, but is it good or bad?
The Bend Test Ultimatum: Does It Win?
The screen has been protected with ceramic coating which seems to have helped the Galaxy S25 Edge handle a lot of rough stuff and the platform confirms that the quality is reliable and does not show any permanent damage.
But how does the Galaxy S25 Edge fare when the thin frame is put through the bend test? The platform feels extremely surprised by the results, because the titanium frame of the device has managed to hold up even after they tried to bend the phone with intense pressure to see if it cracks, and looks like it doesn’t.
These two tests can be deal breakers for brands and have shown iPhones being fragile over the years. But Samsung will be mighty pleased to see its new premium device handle the grunge and show everyone that a thin phone can be durable and strong as well.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is priced at Rs 1,09,999 and its thin frame has come at the cost of missing out on the telephoto lens and a much smaller 3,900mAh battery. The phone’s build quality is what you would expect at this price, and its light nature at around 163 grams clearly makes a difference compared to the other hefty devices in the market.
We’re also keen to see how the iPhone 17 Air works and more importantly does Apple bring a premium device that can fare equal or even better than the S25 Edge when it launches later this year.
