Air India has introduced special ‘Family Assistance’ counters at Delhi Airport to support families travelling together.

These dedicated counters are designed to assist passengers with children, elderly relatives, or those needing special help during their journey.

At these counters, families will be welcomed with a personalised ‘meet and assist’ service, making their airport experience more comfortable. Passengers can request:

  • Wheelchair support, even if not pre-booked
  • Seats together, if they were not assigned during booking (subject to availability)
  • Help with heavy or multiple bags

The new counters aim to make check-in quicker and more convenient by offering:

  • Faster baggage handling
  • Support with immigration and customs questions
  • On-the-spot help for last-minute requests.

Children travelling alone (who haven’t booked the Unaccompanied Minor service) and passengers with reduced mobility will also be supported. Air India staff will assist them in getting from check-in to their boarding gate.
