Muscat Grand Mall, a flagship retail destination under Tilal Development Company, has launched ‘Little India’ in partnership with SRED. The new concept space is designed as a dedicated cultural and retail hub to spotlight Indian fashion, lifestyle, cuisine, and heritage in Oman.
Positioned as a gateway for Indian brands to enter the Gulf Cooperation Council market, Little India aims to connect businesses with Omani consumers and tourists seeking authentic and diverse retail experiences, Tilal Development Company announced in a press release. The initiative also caters to the sizeable Indian community in the area.
“Muscat Grand Mall has always been a canvas for innovation and cultural expression,” said Muscat Grand Mall’s CEO and general manager Ali Hosni in a press release. “With Little India, we are not just creating a retail space- we are creating a bridge between India and the GCC. This is an invitation for Indian brands to be part of a regional success story, backed by strong footfall, premium infrastructure, and a rising consumer base in Oman.”
The project will offer Indian fashion labels, food brands, home décor businesses, and artisanal ventures a purpose-built space within Muscat Grand Mall, supported by leasing solutions and targeted marketing. “Little India is more than a commercial concept- it’s a social ecosystem designed to serve the large Indian community in Oman and the wider Gulf,” said Shriram PM Monga, co-founder of SRED.
