The German car maker Audi has removed the curtains from another EV called the E5 Sportback. The company has showcased the model under its SUB-EV brand in Shanghai. It is the first production model from the brand, which is based on new underpinnings. It has been deloveped with SAIC, the company owned by MG.
It has been reported that the EV will hit the market with four electric powertrains options. They will churn out a maximum power of 300hp, 408hp, 578hp and 787hp. The reports suggested that the top-end variant will get a four-wheel drive option under the badge of Quattro. The entry level trim will be equipped with a rear-mounted motor, reported by Autocar.
Top Capabilities
When it comes to the acceleration, the battery-powered wheels are capable of doing 0-100kph sprint in 3.4 seconds. It has been claimed by the brand that the vehicle can offer a maximum range of up to 770km on the charge, a big thanks 100kWh battery pack. Once drained, it can be charged up to 370km in just 10 minutes, using 800v ultra-fast charger.
Going by the images available on the internet, E5 Sportback flaunts the company’s signature yet original style statement. It features a futuristic front fascia, complemented by a fully LED headlight setup. The comapny has swapped Audi’s traditional four-ring emblem, and treated it with an illuminated ‘AUDI’ lettermark.

When it comes to the rear profile, the model gets trending connected LED light bar, housed by electric tail gat, and flush door handles. As far as the overall dimension is concerned, E5 Sportback offers a length of 4881mm, width 1959mm, and height is 1478.
