Anurag Kashyap has welcomed a new addition to his garage — the sleek, all-electric Mahindra XEV 9e.
The acclaimed filmmaker is now the proud owner of Mahindra’s first-ever EV, blending futuristic design with powerful performance.
The keys to his new eco-friendly ride were handed over by Ajit Pai, CEO of Mahindra Modi, alongside Kailash Joshi, VP of Mahindra Modi.
Sharing the exciting news on Instagram, the company wrote,”Lights, Camera, Drive! Bollywood’s visionary storyteller @anuragkashyap10 just upgraded his ride with the stunning Mahindra XEV 9e. A perfect fusion of power, innovation, and style — this electric marvel promises to turn every journey into a blockbuster adventure. Mahindra XEV 9e: All You Need To Know
The Mahindra XEV 9e is based on the manufacturer’s born-electric INGLO platform. According to the automaker, the INGLO platform provides ample cabin room, stability, and excellent handling capability. The platform also claims to have an ultra-high-strength boron steel frame and a protective cage around the passenger compartment to provide high levels of occupant safety.
As for the design, the car has a coupe SUV design, complemented by triangle LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights that extend across the vehicle’s width. Its coupe-like design is accented by inverted L-shaped connected LED daytime running lights and slim LED taillights.
One of the key highlights of its overall appearance is the illuminated Mahindra logo.
Talking about battery, the SUV supports two battery pack options–59 kWh and 79 kWh units, made with lithium iron phosphate (LPF), for enhanced thermal protection and durability. When connected to a 175 kWh DC Fast charger, it can charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
On the engine front, the Mahindra XEV9e’s electric engine has peak power outputs ranging from 224 to 278 bhp for the rear wheels. Mahindra claims that the 79 kWh battery pack can deliver around 500 kilometres of range on a single charge.
The interior boasts a triple-screen setup that dominates the dashboard, creating an air of luxury. It has three 12.3-inch screens that run Mahindra’s Adrenox software and contain a touchscreen infotainment system in addition to the driver’s display. Notably, it has a twin-spoke multifunction steering wheel with an illuminated logo.
Additional features include a smartphone charger, a 16-speaker audio system, automatic parking, a panoramic sunroof and an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) suite.
The pricing for the Mahindra XEV 9e begins at Rs 21.90 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the base version and goes up to Rs 30.50 Lakh (ex-showroom).
It is available in 8 colour options namely Everest White, Ruby Velvet, Stealth Black, Desert Myst, Nebula Blue, Deep Forest, Tango Red, and Gold Dawn. Going by the pictures, Anurag has purchased the vehicle in the Stealth Black variant.
