External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday told attendees at the 14th Indian France CEO meeting that the digital era calls for trust and transparency and a multipolar world can ensure that artificial intelligence (AI) develops with the least bias.
“We need to shape the global discourse in this key domain, only a multipolar world can ensure that AI develops with the least bias. We need diversified production, we need reliable and resilient supply chains and we need deeper business collaborations,” Jaishankar said while speaking at the 14th Indian France CEO meeting.

“We are meeting on the sidelines of the AI Action Summit. The digital era calls for trust and transparency. These are indeed shared attributes between us. The summit is a reminder in itself of how much we could be doing in AI, software development and cybersecurity,” he further added.
The External Affairs Minister then pointed out that the coming year, 2026, has been designated the India-France Year of Innovation. He urged CEOs gathered “to weigh in” on India’s Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
“We need diversified production, we need reliable and resilient supply chains and we need deeper business collaborations,” he said.
He said that there “are very few places in the world where I can say that infrastructure is changing as rapidly as it is in India”.
He said that the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) is a “gamechanger” for India and that a clean energy transition is underway in India “as much as in other parts of the world”.
