Trump mocks Taylor Swift
Donald Trump and Taylor Swift were in attendance to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles face off – with the Eagles taking the win.
Taylor’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, plays for the Chiefs and she was filmed cheering his team on at the Caesar’s Superdome, broadcast on the stadium’s jumbotron. As she appeared on screen the crowd started to boo – though Taylor seemed unbothered by this, giving the camera the side eye.
The singer, who was seated next to the rapper Ice Spice, responded to the booing by first side-eyeing the camera and then laughing. Trump, who was also in the stadium for a portion of the game, commented on the fans response to Swift in a Truth Social post, saying “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift.”

Swift was greeted with enthusiastic cheers when she attended the big game in Las Vegas earlier, but was greeted with boos by the predominantly pro-Eagles crowd when shown on the large screen inside the Superdome. Her look of confusion at the reception has gone viral on social media.
The president’s post claimed Swift was “BOOED out of the Stadium” and then appeared to imply that the boos came from his supporters by adding: “MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Trump-Taylor feud
The two have shared an acrimonious relationship in the past. Taylor Swift endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris during the US Presidential election 2024. Swift made the endorsement to her 283 million followers on Instagram and said she will vote for Harris in the November 5 elections. Prior to that, she had supported Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden.

Donald Trump addressed Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris in November’s presidential race by announcing his hatred of the pop star. The former president and Republican nominee wrote on Sunday on his Truth Social platform: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
Her endorsement had put an end to rumours that she would be supporting Trump, after he had reposted an image of the popstar in an Uncle Sam outfit and accepted her endorsement for his campaign, which she had never given.
Hours after her endorsement, Trump warned that “she will pay the price” and said he was not a Taylor Swift fan. “She’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace,” he said.
“Taylor Swift gets BOOED at the Super Bowl, and she is flabbergasted. Remember that the crowd cheered Trump. Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris. People are so fed up,” an X user said after Swift got booed at the Super Bowl.
