KTM has launched two new models – the 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X. Both bikes come with impressive features and are designed for riders who crave adventure, but at different price points and specifications.

KTM 390 Adventure

The newly launched KTM 390 Adventure, priced at Rs 3.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), is based on an all-new platform and comes with a host of premium features. Powered by a 399cc, single-cylinder engine from the latest 390 Duke, it produces the same 46 bhp and 39Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bidirectional quickshifter.

One of the standout features is the tubeless spoked wheels (21/17-inch, front and rear), a first for this class, and cruise control, which enhances long-distance riding comfort. The 390 Adventure also offers improved ground clearance (227mm) and a lower seat height of 830mm for better rider comfort.

The new 390 Adventure weighs 183kg which is 6kg more than its predecessor. The steel trellis frame and adjustable WP suspension ensure that the bike is built for off-road performance.

While the 390 Adventure doesn’t have direct competition in its price range, its closest rival remains the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which is priced similarly but offers fewer premium features.

KTM 390 Adventure X

Priced at Rs 2.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the KTM 390 Adventure X offers a more budget-friendly option for those looking to experience adventure biking without the hefty price tag of the full-spec 390 Adventure.

It retains the same engine and frame as the 390 Adventure, delivering a peak output of 46bhp and 39Nm of torque, with a slightly lighter weight of 182kg.

Visually, the 390 Adventure X retains much of the styling of the 390 Adventure, but it features simpler electronics and runs on 19/17-inch alloy wheels. Unlike the Adventure, its suspension is non-adjustable, though it still offers impressive travel at 200mm in the front and 205mm at the rear. However, one significant upgrade for the 2025 model is the addition of a TFT display and a bidirectional quickshifter as standard.

With its price tag of Rs 2.91 lakh, the Adventure X is Rs 77,000 cheaper than the 390 Adventure and competes directly with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which is priced between Rs 2.85 lakh and Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).
