The brand’s new model, the Kia Syros, had a fantastic debut, with 5,546 units sold in its first month, showcasing its market appeal.
Kia India, one of the country’s top mass-premium carmakers, has started 2025 on a high, selling 25,025 units in January.
This marks a 5 percent increase from last year’s 23,769 units in the same month.
The newly launched Kia Syros made a powerful entry, with 5,546 units sold in its first month, showing strong demand from customers. Meanwhile, the popular Kia Sonet and Seltos models led the charge, with sales of 7,194 and 6,470 units, respectively.
The Kia Carens also remained a favourite, contributing 5,522 units, and the premium Kia Carnival continued to perform well with 293 units sold.
Kia India’s success extends globally, with 1,454 ‘Made in India’ vehicles exported to 70 international markets.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said, “The first month of the year is crucial for any OEM as it sets the momentum for the months ahead. We’ve had a strong start in 2025 with the launch of the Kia Syros, which has garnered a tremendous response from customers. Additionally, our premium offering, the Kia Carnival Limousine, continues to gain traction in its segment.”
With the Kia Syros starting at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom), Kia India remains focused on delivering futuristic, accessible vehicles to the mass market, while expanding both domestically and internationally.
