Phase 4 is gradually taking shape, with the Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension section now operational. This 2.8 km stretch is part of the Magenta Line extension.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is rapidly expanding its vast metro network with the ongoing development of the Phase 4 corridor.
With over 395 km of track and 289 stations, including lines in Noida and Gurugram, Delhi Metro remains the longest in India.
Currently, the Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension, a 2.8 km stretch on the Magenta Line, is the only section in operation, while the entire Phase 4 project is set to be completed by the end of the 2026-27 financial year.
According to ET Now, a senior DMRC official confirmed, “The Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension is now operational, and the remaining sections will be ready by 2026.”
Phase 4 Key Corridors and Stations
Phase 4 of the Delhi Metro will introduce 44 new stations across three important corridors:
Maujpur-Majlis Park (12.318 km, 8 stations)
- Key stations: Yamuna Vihar, Bhajanpura, Khajuri Khas, Sonia Vihar, Soorghat, Jagatpur Village, Jharoda Majra, Burari.
Krishna Park Extension-Ramakrishna Ashram Marg (26.462 km, 21 stations)
- Key stations: Keshopur, Paschim Vihar, Mangol Puri, West Enclave, Pushpanjali, Deepali Chowk, Pitampura, Prashant Vihar, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalaswa, Azadpur, Ashok Vihar, Derawal Nagar, Ghanta Ghar, Sadar Bazar, Nabi Karim, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg.
Delhi Aerocity-Tughlakabad (23.622 km, 15 stations)
- Key stations: Mahipal Pur, Vasant Kunj, Kishangarh, Chhatarpur, IGNOU, Saket G Block, Ambedkar Nagar, Khanpur, Sangam Vihar-Tigri, Anand Mayee Marg Junction, Tughlakabad Railway Colony, Tughlakabad.
