Skoda Kylaq Classic Bookings to Reopen on January 27, Deliveries and Test Drives to Begin Soon

Skoda will reopen bookings for the Kylaq Classic variant starting from January 27, with deliveries and test drives expected to begin next week, as per Autocar.

Prices for the Kylaq range from Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Back in December, just 10 days after its launch, Skoda had temporarily closed bookings for the entry-level Classic variant. At that time, the carmaker also revealed that the Kylaq had garnered 10,000 bookings, with the first batch of 33,000 units set to be delivered by May.

Although bookings for the Classic variant are reopening on Monday, deliveries will likely be part of the second batch of vehicles.

The Kylaq Classic comes well-equipped, featuring LED lights, six airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX anchors. Higher variants offer additional features such as an automatic gearbox, touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, and a sunroof.

The Kylaq is powered by a1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine thar churns out 115 bhp power. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. However, the entry-level Classic trim is available only with a manual gearbox. Recently, the compact SUV earned a 5-star safety rating from BNCAP.

The Kylaq competes against rivals like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
