Samsung’s new premium flagship does get the S Pen in the box but it has lost some useful features this year. Know all the details.

The S Pen on the Ultra has served multiple purpose over the years

The Samsung Galaxy S25 launch is done and dusted and the most premium Ultra model has support for the S Pen once again. However, the company has made some tweaks which may not excite people, especially when they are asked to spend over Rs 1.2 lakh on the new model. For many years, the S Pen on the Galaxy Ultra model has offered versatile features that lets you access the phone’s camera wirelessly but now that won’t be possible.

Samsung has dunked the Bluetooth support for the S Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra which means a host of features available with the Galaxy S23 and the 24 Ultra will not work on the latest Galaxy flagship phone.

No Bluetooth For S Pen But Why?

Samsung did not exactly talk about the new development with the S Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra at the launch event but multiple says the brand asked its users and found out that most users did not use the wireless S Pen features. So it is quite possible that most people don’t even know about the feature and exclusively used the stylus to do scribbles, make notes etc.

The ability to click group pictures using the S Pen as a stutter did feel quite useful but the stylus has helped with a host of other features because of Bluetooth support like starting voice recorder, browse through a PPT during work meetings, and even control audio playback.

Well, the Galaxy S25 Ultra won’t let you do these things with the S Pen but it is still a useful tool and the only Samsung device that comes with the stylus in the box. You can also use the S Pen with the Galaxy Fold models but you have to get it as a separate accessory.
