AI features are being integrated by many companies and the airline sector is the latest to offer it for the customers.
Air India is going to use the power of AI to make it easier and interactive for people to book tickets. The new feature called eZ Booking allows fliers to fill their details for reserving tickets on its website by simply telling the AI agent their travel itinerary. We all know that AI agents are the future of the tech industry, which many experts have pointed out and Air India seems to be in a hurry to make the AI transition to its services.
Air India AI Agent For Flight Booking: How It Works
So what is the new AI feature from the airline and how it plans to simplify the process of booking tickets online? The company says eZ Booking is powered by ‘Agentic AI’ tools and acts as a travel agent, hearing your travel requirements and helping you create a detailed itinerary based on the schedule.
For instance, you can say, “give me the first flight from Delhi to Mumbai for tomorrow,” and the AI agent will give you the results based on your needs.
Air India says it is using machine learning, natural language processing and other automated tech to give the best results with less human involvement. The use of AI means fliers can modify their itinerary if they are not happy with the results from the AI agent. These can be done either via text or voice.
Air India is gradually going to offer the AI feature for customers. The airline is starting the service exclusively for its Maharaja Club members via the Air India website on desktop. Air India says the eZ Booking feature will work on the mobile website and mobile app in the coming weeks.
