The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website suffered an outage again on Saturday as users faced difficulty booking train tickets.
Downdetector showed a surge in issues, with 36% of complaints related to the app, 30% to the website, and 35% to ticketing.
Several users complained on social media about being unable to log in as they posted screenshots of the website page that read an error message, “Booking and cancellation for all sites will not be available for the next hour. Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted”.
Those who were able to log in after several failed attempts ended up being disappointed as the peak ‘Tatkal’ ticket booking hours had ended.
Not too long ago the IRCTC website had faced an outage due to maintenance work, thus preventing them from booking or cancelling e-tickets.
