Mercedes-Benz India has launched the EQS 450 SUV, a more affordable variant of the luxury electric SUV, priced at Rs 1.28 crore (ex-showroom).
This new model is Rs 13 lakh less than the Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom) EQS 580 SUV. Unlike the 580, the EQS 450 SUV is a 5-seater. Both the EQS 450 and the Mercedes G 580 Edition One will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Bookings for the EQS 450 SUV are now open, with deliveries expected to start in February. The EQS 580, which launched in September last year, has sold out, with the next batch arriving in April.
Mercedes Benz EQS 450 SUV: Battery & Charging
The EQS 450 SUV shares the 122kWh battery pack with the 580 but has a lower motor output of 360hp and 800Nm, compared to the 580’s 544 bhp and 858 Nm. It offers an impressive range of 820km, just 11km more than the 580. Mercedes claims a 0-100kph time of 6.1 seconds, making it 1.4 seconds slower than the 7-seater EQS SUV. Charging times are also similar, with a 31-minute 10-80% charge on a 200kW DC fast charger and 6.25 hours for a full charge on a 22kW AC wallbox.

On the outside, the 450 has black 21-inch alloys and an Electric Art Line, offering a more subtle look than the AMG Line seen on the 580.

Inside, the EQS 450 features a large boot, with the front half of the interior identical to the 580. It comes equipped with the 56-inch Hyperscreen setup, which includes a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a front passenger screen, and a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment.
Other features include a 5-speaker Burmester audio system, a 360-degree camera, multi-zone automatic climate control, soft close doors, puddle lamps, illuminated running boards, and Level 2 ADAS with 9 airbags.
