Samsung has added two new Galaxy Books to its lineup powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra AI processors.
Samsung has been busy at the CES 2025 in Las Vegas this week. The company has also expanded its Galaxy Book5 lineup with the launch of Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360. The brand is using Intel’s new AI processors to bring Galaxy AI capabilities across the Galaxy ecosystem. With the inclusion of AI Select, laptop users can easily search for anything, at any time, with a single click, much like on their phone, but on a much larger, immersive display.
Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro and Galaxy Book 5 360: Price
Starting in February, the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360 will be available for purchase in select markets, including Canada, Germany, France, the UK and the USA. The availability of these devices is expected to be expanded in other countries in the coming months.
The Galaxy Book 5 Pro was unveiled at a starting price of KRW 1,768,000 (approximately Rs 1,04,000) in South Korea and we can expect the global price to be around the same range.
Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro and Galaxy Book 5 360: Features
The Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro comes with two screen sizes, 14 inches and 16 inches, whereas the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 offers a single screen size of 15 inches. Both feature a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and 3K high resolution.
Both models come with the Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors that have advanced neural processing units (NPUs) capable of up to 47 Tera Operations per Second (TOPs). This unit allows people to complete AI-intensive tasks at incredible speed. The devices are equipped with 16GB/32GB of RAM along with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage.
The Galaxy Book5 series is capable of enhancing the AI PC experience at blazingly fast speeds while intelligently bridging on-device and cloud-based processing. During the launch, Samsung highlighted new Galaxy AI features for the Galaxy Book 5 series, which includes AI Select, a laptop version similar to Circle to Search on Galaxy phones, and AI Photo Remaster. There is also a Samsung Knox-enabled security chip built in, safeguarding your data and ensuring privacy.
The Galaxy Book 5 series users will be able to connect with the Samsung S25 phones through the Microsoft Phone Link app to access AI features like Transcript Assist and Live Translate.
Both also feature quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, which deliver balanced and powerful immersive audio for the ultimate surround sound experience. Paired with the 38mm woofers on the Galaxy Book5 Pro 16, these speakers let users hear the difference with deeper bass for both entertainment and professional use.
The brand claims the Galaxy Book 5 Pro offers up to 25 hours of battery life with super-fast charging support that charges up to 35 percent in just 30 minutes, thanks to a 65W charger.
