To offer customers a better infotainment experience, Hyundai, the top player in the four-wheel segment, has partnered with Google. The collaboration aims to develop a robust Android OS infotainment system with a next-generation navigation system.
It has been reported that the partnership will also benefit the sister companies Kia and Gensis. It will allow the respective customers to have access to over 250 million locations worldwide, offering them a better driver experience with better top-notch technology globally.
Android Automotive Operating System
The decision for the same came before the company’s complete shift to the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) for infotainment. The deadline has been set till 2026. Currently, the AAOS-run infotainment system is being used by the top manufacturers including Renault, Honda, Ford and Volvo.
Benefits
Instead of installing Google Maps in the models, Hyundai is gearing up to enhance navigation accuracy to the next level,, using cutting-edge technology, and providing real-time data about locations. This will also help the driver to monitor business or peak hours traffic in advance, ratings, contact information, reviews and much more.
