Mahindra has announced a price hike on its XUV 3XO SUV, which debuted in April this year.

The vehicle was first priced at Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has announced the hike at a time when most other carmakers have offered steep discounts to increase sales and clear inventory before the conclusion of the festive season.

The compact SUV became a favourite of buyers since its launch. Mahindra received more than 10,000 bookings for XUV 3XO in its first week of release, and it has been a key driver of the automaker’s sales growth.

As the SUV becomes costlier, here’s a look at these five sub-compact SUVs that are strong competitors for the Mahindra XUV 3XO
