Google has reportedly sent a new notification to some Android users through Google Play Services, stating, “Your Android Has New Features.” This notification opens in a full-screen interface, showcasing newly introduced features for Android smartphones, including Circle to Search, Google Lens and Google Photos, among others. According to 9To5Google, these notifications had previously only been sent to Pixel users via the Tips app.

When users click on the notification, they are greeted with a full-screen interface that highlights the latest Android capabilities. Users can swipe through multiple screens in carousel mode, allowing them to explore one feature at a time. This update aims to enhance user awareness of the new functionalities available on their devices.

According to a report by 9To5Google, each interface includes a graphic with a visual indication of how to use the feature, as well as a text description for the users. Additionally, the “How to Get Started” button was also included to help customers understand how to use the functions.

What are these features

Google Lens: A significant feature that uses image recognition to understand what you’re looking at and give relevant information about it.

Google Messages: Google Messages now supports full-screen effects.

Google Photos: The Photos app is getting new features such as Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, Portrait Light and Magic Editor.

Google Wallet:Google Wallet now accepts QR and barcode passes, allowing users to quickly access passes that have been emailed to them.

Google Safe Browsing: Google Safe Browsing protects users from dangerous websites, downloads and extensions. As per 9To5Google, a green shield now appears to be a new icon.

In other news, Google has recently updated its video calling app, Google Meet, introducing a redesigned interface and a new ‘New’ button. This button provides users with options to create a new meeting, schedule one, or set up a group call. Additionally, it displays contacts for instant calling, enhancing the overall user experience by making it easier to connect with others. The update aims to streamline the process of initiating meetings and improve the app’s functionality for users.
