iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come with A18 AI chipset
Apple iPhone 16 launched in India with 48MP camera, A18 chipset that supports AI features and high-end games and you also get the capture button.
iPhone 16 series is here and probably for the first time in a while there are a lot of exciting upgrades available for the regular iPhone buyers. Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus won’t be getting the AI features so the logical move was to bring AI to all the iPhone 16 models, and Apple has confirmed it.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus now has a bigger screen, powered by the new A18 chipset with 8-core neural engine to make Siri work faster and give you contextual responses. But the upgrades don’t end there because the AAA games now work on the iPhone 16’s as well.
iPhone 16 And 16 Plus Price In India
iPhone 16 has launched in India for Rs 79,990 while the iPhone 16 Plus price in India starts from Rs 89,900 once again. Both the iPhone models will be available starting September 20 in the country. Apple is selling the iPhone 16 series in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage variants in India.

The iPhone 16 sports a 6.1-inch display while the 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen. Both the panels still aren’t ProMotion but you get them with the Dynamic Island and signature Apple display output thanks to the Super Retina XDR display. The devices are powered by a new A18 chipset, built from ground-up to run the Apple Intelligence features. You will get these iPhone with iOS 18 version via an update in the coming weeks but the good AI stuff might be delayed till the iOS 18.1 version rolls out.
The new iPhone 16 models get a 48MP primary sensor along with a 12MP ultrawide lens. The models have a 12MP front shooter for FaceTime and selfies along with Face ID tech. These come with a USB C charging connector and wireless charging up to 25W with a Qi charger.
