Deepshikha Nagpal, who has navigated television, OTT, and film, reflects on her diverse career with mixed feelings. After three decades in the industry, she feels pigeonholed into negative roles.
In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Nagpal revealed her surprise at being cast in a positive role for her latest show, Megha Barsenge, after previously being known for her villainous characters.

Deepshikha discussed how she has been often cast in glamorous, strong, and negative roles. When approached with a negative character, she inquires about the motivations behind the role, emphasizing that not everyone is inherently negative. Instead, certain emotions drive their negative traits, which she brings to life in her performances.

In her previous show, where she played a positive role, Deepshikha was initially surprised and delighted when approached by the channel. She questioned whether they were certain about casting her, given her typecasting in negative roles. Despite her belief that she might never be cast in positive roles, she revealed that she is inherently positive and optimistic in real life.
Nagpal expressed contentment with her place in the industry, despite any complaints. She emphasized her positive outlook, noting that being active in the field and having the opportunity to choose roles signifies her continued relevance and luck. She appreciates that she still has options and feels fortunate to be where she is.
